GENERAL INFORMATION
Q: What is included in the 3-week senior retreat package?
The package typically includes
- accommodation
- meals with drinks
- all the activities (sport, entertainment, visits)
- wellness programs guided by professional
- occasional transportation (off-site excursions and up/down to the village if required).

Q: What is not included in the 3-week senior retreat package?
- Meals and transportation for the days off
- airport transfers
Q: What types of accommodations are available? We host our retreats in 2 different venues:
- a “quinta” hotel (Quinta Raposeiros) for 4 of the retreats.
- The studios are available for double or single occupancy
- The apartment is available for double occupancy only
- a private villa (The Long Barn) for 3 the retreats . The villa has 6 bedrooms:
- 4 on the first floor, each with a private bathroom. 2 bedrooms with twin beds, 2 bedrooms with one double bed (available for single or double occupancy ) .
- 2 on the pool ground floor, with direct access to the terrace and swimming pool and a shared a bathroom with a bathtub and walk-in shower (available for single or double occupancy )
Both accommodations have central heating which is important as Ericeira has a humid climate, being by the ocean. None have AC but you will discover that there is no need for it in those months.
Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is usually at 3:00 PM on the first day, and check-out is at 11:00 AM on the final day. If you have a specific request please contact us and we will find a solution.
Q: Is transfer from the airport included?
Airport transfers are not included but we can organise it for you. Rate varies according to the number of people, contact us and we will give you our best quote.
Q: Do I need to rent a car?
- Before of after the retreat : If you’re planning to start or extend your trip to discover Portugal, it will be convenient for you to hire a car. You can find quite low rates.
- At the retreat, you have one day off per week to explore or just chill, we can organise transportation for you if needed. You can also use Uber services which work well and are generally quite cheap.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Q: Are medical services available on-site?
No, we don’t have a doctor or nurse on site. However we have very easy access to doctors via video call, and in your own language. If traveling from the EU, make sure to bring your European health card to get a refund when returning home.
Q: What about insurance?
Please contract a travel insurance
Q: Do you offer special dietary plans?
Yes, we can accommodate various dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other medically necessary diets. Please inform us of any special requirements when booking.
Q: What wellness activities are offered?
Included in your holistic program and under the kind guidance of professional coaches :
- 12 Morning sessions of gentle physical activity to improve flexibility, balance and mobility (indoor and outdoor)
You can also book at your own charge massages treatment, or personal training.
ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Q: What kinds of activities are available?
Activities range from ceramics, gardening, cooking workshop to guided nature tours and cultural excursions.
Q: Are there any off-site excursions?
Yes, there are scheduled off-site trips to local attractions, historical sites, and cultural events. Additional fees may apply for some excursions (entry tickets etc..)
Q: Can activities be tailored to individual interests or needs?
We strive to accommodate individual interests and mobility needs. Please let us know your preferences in advance.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
Q: How do I book a retreat?
Reservations can be made by calling us or emailing at booking@bluceira.com.
Early booking is recommended to secure your preferred dates.
Q: What is the payment policy?
- 20% at the time of booking,
- 30% once the retreat is confirmed 3 months ahead,
- 50% final balance due at the latest 1 month prior to the start of the retreat.
We work with a safe payment runway (Lydia) and bank transfers.
- If you book 3 months or less before check-in, deposit is 50%

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
- Fully refundable 3 months before check-in,
- Cancellations made between 3 months and 1 month before check in receive a 20% refund.
- Cancellations made within 30 days before check in are non refundable.
We can refund in both cases if we manage to resell your place, minus a processing fee.
MISCELLANEOUS
Q: Can I bring my pet?
Both venues do not accept pets.
Q:Is there Wi-Fi available at the retreat?
Yes, both venues have free wifi.
Q: What should I pack for the retreat?
You will need comfortable clothes to exercise, walk, and enjoy all the activities freely.
Q: Can I get a laundry service?
Access to laundry available at possible extra cost
Q: How often do we get cleaning for the rooms and linen change over?
To maintain a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment for all our guests, housekeeping staff will perform a general cleaning, which includes making the bed, emptying trash bins, wiping surfaces, every 3 days. Bed linen and towels will be changed once a week, except if you require more frequent changes. Guests are encouraged to participate in our environmental efforts by reusing towels and linens when possible.
Q: Can you accommodate special requests or needs?
Please contact us to make special arrangements, such as room preferences, celebrations, or special services. We will always try to please you.
Q: Is the retreat accessible for people with disabilities?
None of the venues have easy access for people with disabilities.
