Who we are: Amélie and Antonie
Our journey together
We met in kindergarten, where our entrepreneurial dreams began with the idea of opening a patisserie to indulge ourselves in our sweet creations. Now, 50 years later, we have come together to create a meaningful project that aligns with our values and fuels our passion.
Meet Antonie
The youngest in a family of 4 children, Antonie has always had a fun and slightly mischievous side. A wanderer at heart, she traveled to every continent, and then returned to France to build her family with her husband Tom, an Australian who learned to surf in the Mediterranean! She speaks French, English, manages reasonably well in Italian, her German is a bit rusty, understands Spanish, and is starting to pick up a bit of Portuguese. Open to the world and others, she takes immense pleasure in listening and sharing with everyone. Tom and their 3 children have brought a wide variety of characters into their home. The door is always open, and the welcome is simple, friendly, and genuinely convivial if you find yourself playing around the table. She has showcased exceptional skills and talent in group management, organising family and kids’ events, and creating innovative educational programs.
Meet Amélie
Nurtured by parents who were never afraid to create new things in new places, she instinctively made her life in various different places and surpassed her parents’ record of 24 relocations! Curious about the world, she has embarked on adventures without ever pondering the famous pros and cons – just charging ahead, not hesitating, and enjoying herself. Convinced that she would always land on her feet, she never feared anything and fully embraced her beautiful years between Spain, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and France. Driven by boundless energy, she has changed careers several times, not without a few creaks, but never losing her smile for too long. Becoming a mother at 40, Amélie may have found in her daughter Carlota someone who shook her certainties and her slightly assertive character for the first time.
She has demonstrated a real talent for connecting people and aligning them to successfully achieve their goals together. Her innate sense of hospitality has always made a difference and brought her many reasons to rejoice.
