What is included in a senior retreat package?

The package typically includes:

  • Accommodation
  • All physical, social, and cultural activities
  • All meals (except on free days for the 2 week stays)
  • Non-alcoholic beverages, plus wine and beer at special events
  • Transportation during your stay

What is not included in a senior retreat package?

  • Airport transfers. We can arrange a private driver to meet you at the airport. The cost is €50 per trip
  • Travel & Health insurance
  • Only for 2 week stay : Meals and transportation during free time (However, we are happy to assist in making arrangements—just ask!)

What types of accommodations are available?

Our retreats take place in two different venues:

  • Quinta Raposeiros (countryside retreat facility)
    • Studios available for single or double occupancy
    • An apartment available for double occupancy only
  • Casas de Achada (a 5 bedroom private villa)
    • All bedrooms have a private bathroom and are available for single or double occupancy

Both accommodations have central heating, which is essential as Ericeira has a humid coastal climate. There is no air conditioning, but it is unnecessary during the retreat months.

 

What are the check-in and check-out times?

  • Check-in from 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM depending on venue
  • Check-out 11:00 AM

If you have any specific requests, please contact us—we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

Are airport transfers included?

No, but we can arrange a private transfer with a driver waiting for you at the airport. The cost is €50. Same for the trip back to the airport.

 

Do I need to rent a car?

  • Before or after the retreat: If you plan to extend your stay and explore Portugal, renting a car is convenient and often inexpensive.
  • During the retreat:No need and for thetwo week stay we can arrange transportation if neededduring your free time to explore. Uber services work well in the area and are generally affordable.

Are medical services available on-site?

We do not have a doctor or nurse on-site, but we offer easy access to medical professionals via video call in your preferred language.

  • EU travelers: Bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for reimbursement of medical expenses.
  • Non-EU travelers: Ensure you have travel/medical insurance.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

 

Do you offer special dietary options?

Yes, we can accommodate various dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other requirements. Please inform us when filling out the pre-arrival questionnaire.

 

What does the program include?

Your holistic program, led by professional coaches, chefs, and guides, includes:

  • Gentle physical activities (indoor & outdoor) to improve flexibility, balance, mobility ad stregnth
  • Creative & cultural experiences: ceramics, gardening, cooking workshops, market tours, and guided nature walks
  • Cultural visits (some excursions may have additional entry fees)
  • Nutrition & health talks

Additionally, you may book massages or personal training sessions at your own expense.

What is the payment policy?

  • 20% deposit at the time of booking (fully refundable up to 30 days before the retreat)
  • 30% deposit 30 days before the retreat start date (fully refundable up to 30 days before the retreat)
  • 50% final balance due 7 days before the retreat (non-refundable)

How can I pay?

Payments can be made via secure payment link or bank transfer. Let us know your preference, and we’ll send the necessary details.

 

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at either venue.

 

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available at both locations.

 

What should I pack?

A “What to Pack” list will be sent before your arrival.

 

Is laundry service available?

One load of laundry comes with the package, any extra is available for €10 per wash & dry.

 

How often are rooms cleaned?

  • Everyday except Sundays
  • Renewal of bed linen and towels once a week

Is the retreat accessible for people with disabilities?
