Breakfast Routine

Spiced Granola by Jamie Osborne, “Jamie cooks for you”

Do you have a breakfast routine? How about trying some homemade granola crafted by our chef, Jamie Osborne? Prepare it tonight in just a few minutes, and you’ll have enough for several days—for the whole family to enjoy! Antonie is a big fan—she swaps the Greek yogurt for her favorite oat milk and, of course, adds some fresh fruit. Share your breakfast routines with us; it’s always fun to mix things up. Thank you, Jamie, for this delicious recipe. We can’t wait to see you soon at Bluceira!

You’ll Need:

● 65 g almond butter (or any nut/seed butter that’s your fave—peanut, cashew,

sunflower, you name it!)

● 60 ml maple syrup OR honey (the liquid gold of breakfast)

● 3 tbsp coconut oil (for that smooth, melt-in-your-mouth magic)

● 2 tsp vanilla extract (for that warm, comforting aroma)

● 5 tsp ground cinnamon (it’s like a cozy hug in every bite)

● 2-3 tsp ground ginger (a little zing never hurt anyone)

● 1 tsp ground cardamom (your secret weapon for flavor)

● 135 g rolled oats (chunky oats make that crunch even crunchier)

● 100 g walnuts or pecans or cashews or a mix of them all, roughly chopped

(because we all need a little crunch)

Optional goodies for a loaded spice granola (lifes short, get stuck in people)

● 50 g unsweetened toasted coconut flakes toasted (for that tropical flair)

● 50 g raw mixed seeds, pumpkin and chia seeds work well (because why not

throw in some extra crunch and nutrients?)

● 50 g raw dates, chopped (sweet, chewy little nuggets of joy)

● 30 g goji berries (they’re tiny, but mighty in flavor and nutrition)

● 30 g dried cranberries (tart, tangy, and totally irresistible)

Directions:

1. Preheat & Prep:

Heat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This

will keep things tidy and make clean-up a breeze!

2. Mix the Magic:

Melt maple syrup/honey and coconut oil in a small saucepan over a low heat. Once

melted, In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together with the almond butter, vanilla

extract, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. Stir until you have a smooth, deliciously

aromatic mixture that’s just begging to be added to oats!

3. Add the Crunch:

Toss in the oats, chopped walnuts or pecans, coconut flakes, and seeds. Stir

everything together thoroughly so every single bite gets coated in that sweet, spiced,

nutty goodness.

4. Spread It Out and pack it down:

Transfer your glorious granola mixture to the prepared baking sheet and spread it

into an even layer. If you’re making a double batch, don’t be afraid to grab an extra

sheet! Pack the mix down for extra crunch at the finish line.

5. Bake to Perfection:

Whap it in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on it toward the

end—things can go from golden to burnt in a flash! When it’s done, it’ll be golden,

crispy, and full of fragrant goodness.

6. Cool Down:

When the granola’s nice and golden, take it out of the oven and let it cool on the

sheet. As it cools, it’ll crisp up and turn into those satisfying crunchy mouthfuls of joy.

7. Store & Snack:

Once it’s cool, store your granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up

to a month

Enjoy! I enjoy my granola with a decent dollop of greek yoghurt and fresh berries!
